Farmer A (Germany)

I have just received the latest data records from the herd testing organisation and loaded them into DP5 and Palm. I am constantly fascinated by the fact that it works so smoothly. I have not had a single malfunction during the Hotsync and I have not regretted the decision to acquire this kind of Palm for an instant. I am very enthusiastic about the technology. The handling with a palm in the cowshed and particularly in the milking parlour does indeed take some getting used to but you grow accustomed to it with time. I find it praiseworthy that you have adopted a standard trade appliance with lots of different functions. I now also wanted to download my field card file but the provider itself prefers to sell a device which is only configured for its product.

I have now had the Platinum since Saturday, it is a great appliance. The data transfer with HotSync takes about 2 minutes, starting from DPMobil takes about 6 seconds (470 K with all the data with a total of 7366 still free). The data view is very good.

I find the forms good and clear, in particular the selection of the animal via the list and the code numbers and also scrolling within the data records.
