New developments in dairy technology result in complex technical solutions, therefore increasing the demands on the service personnel. This is the reason why Westfalia Landtechnik, the world's second largest manufacturer of milking, cooling and herd management technology, permanently invests in the training of the world-wide service team.
Udo Frische (29) is the Technical Support Manager of the enterprise. Not only the "classical" training is part of his task: "Technical development demands not only an intensive training, the know-how has to be kept up-to-date!"
Since the 1st of June the graduated mechanical engineer is in charge of the training department for the entire product range and the technical support for automatic milking systems.
The company, after introducing the Leonardo system, continues its strategy of supplying even more advanced service for innovative dairy technology. About 2,000 service experts world-wide offer excellent advice, installation skills and maintenance for milking equipment.
Engineer with Heart and Brain
In 1989 Udo Frische started his training as an industrial mechanic at Westfalia. After attending technical college he studied mechanical engineering and in October 1998 he returned to Westfalia with the diploma in his bag. He gained first experience in automatic milking systems when he worked for Research and Development Automatic Milking Systems. This came in most useful when he took over the training classes for automatic milking systems.
