GEA Farm Technologies Crowd Gates

Get your cows moving!  The use of automatic cow drivers prevents the operator from having to leave the pit to chase cows into the parlour from the collection yard during milking.  With all but the simplest model, the CowMander 007, controlling groups is simple as the cows cannot mix while waiting. The gate keeps individual groups seperate as they enter the collection yard one group after another. 

The crowd gates have their own control units and continously nudge the cows forward. This results in smooth animal flow and hence a considerable decrease in milking time and increase in throughput. 

There is a cow driver to suit every type of dairy farm: The Global crowd gates are pneumatically driven, whereas the Hydraglide  gates are operated hydraulically and can also be fitted with manure scrapers to clean the collection yard. CowMander 007 and CowMander 015 are electrically driven, whereas the CowMander 600 and 700 series lift the gate hydraulically but move it using an electrical drive.  CowMander 600 and 700 are also available with manure scrapers.

GEA Farm Technologies' cow drivers can be fitted in collection yards measuring up to 15 metres wide and up to 45 metres in length.
