The fast-exit function is provided by a heavy duty hydraulic power pack and rams with emergency stop cord, ensuring:

Cows are individually fed using the highly accurate feed dispenser PF 21 into stainless steel feed troughs. Although these are light-weight to minimise the lifting-load, they are robustly designed for longevity. A unique 3-point linkage enables the troughs to be raised level so that no feed is dropped onto the floor and wasted.
