The Expertise system from WestfaliaSurge was awarded the gold medal for being an exceptional innovation at SIMA 2003 in Paris. Data of the milk cooling process can be recorded and evaluated over a two-month period. Expertise continually documents the function of the milk cooling operation and this also makes a contribution to milk quality assurance.

The data source is Expert. The modern integrated milk cooling management system records all of the data of the cooling and cleaning processes. The data stored in the Expert system can be loaded into a PC or laptop via an interconnecting cable. Expertise evaluates the data, documents the flow and the events that occur during the cooling and cleaning processes and displays it graphically. The equipment records operating data such as cooling and cleaning temperatures, switching on and off times and special events that occurred during the operation with date, time etc., over a two month period.

Faults can be found quickly and the cause can also be quickly eliminated in this way. This enables the cooling process to be easily optimised, which means more security during the production process for the milk producer as well as for the end consumer.

The software is also an ideal instrument for technicians: it provides them with support during onsite maintenance and the tracking of the milk cooling process.
