WestfaliaSurge, one of the two leading dairy equipment suppliers in the world, will deliver a total of 63 Autorotor rotary parlours to China. The client Changfu is one of the largest dairy companies in the country. The order consists of 61 rotaries of 24 milking places each and two systems with 48 milking places each. The order volume amounts to around 4.5 million euros. The first 30 systems wil be delivered by end of February 2004 – followed by 33 in summer 2004.

The Changfu group is investing in modern milking technology and in better milk quality. Their milk producers in the province of “Inner Mongolia” in the north of China, will efficiently milk 500 cows with each of the 24-stall systems and 1000 cows with the 48-stall systems.

WestfaliaSurge is also the rotary parlour market leader in China. Chris Nisbet is managing director of WestfaliaSurge Dairy Equipment Shanghai that was only founded about a year ago: “Rotary milking parlours are very popular in the Chinese market. They meet the requirements of the rapidly growing farms.” He anticipates annual growth rates of approx. 30 percent in the Chinese milk market. Just a short time ago at the end of the year 2002 WestfaliaSurge managed to deliver the first rotary milking parlours with high-end equipment to China with an order value of euro four million to the province of Fujin.

WestfaliaSurge generates turnover of approximately euro 350 million with approx. 1,600 employees throughout the world. WestfaliaSurge is a subsidiary of GEA AG, Bochum, a subgroup of mg technologies ag, Frankfurt.
