WestfaliaSurge has developed a new side-by-side milking parlour – the Global 90i – with a Rapid exit system that provides high cow and milker comfort.  Rapid throughput makes this parlour especially efficient.

The wide passageway with integrated partitions and no sharp corners or edges  provides a spacious gateway for easy cow entry.  The support pillars are angled away from the passageway providing the greatest possible freedom for the cows legs when the she turns into the separate milking stall.

The Global 90i system for positioning the individual animals in the milking stall is ideal for handling cows of different sizes within the same milking group.  Each cow is individually positioned using separate, cow friendly swinging gates for each stall.  The gates can also be easily opened manually to quickly release a single cow from the stall, saving valuable operator time should individual animals need to be selected.

The cows can be smoothly positioned along the entire front gate.  This gentle indexing method enables the cows to be easily moved rearward positioning them closer to the dairyman’s pit for easy access and the best milking position.

Designed for maximum animal safety, the telescoping entrance door smoothly separates one group of cows from the next.  It ensures that the last cow is positioned so that the entire group stands at the 90° angle to the dairyman’s pit.  The 720 mm (686 mm in North America) stall space provides cow comfort as well as good positioning for milking.

The angled splash plate made from rugged stainless steel supports the profile at the rear of the stall and ensures good cow positioning while protecting the dairyman.  The integrated and rounded stainless steel manure gutter collects cow waste keeping the dairyman and surrounding cows clean.

The exit door operates as a result of its own weight.  The cow’s shoulders push against the door for easy opening and then re-closes safely and smoothly.

The Global 90i has been designed for high performance and long life in large milking operations.  WestfaliaSurge supplies the Global 90i side-by-side milking parlour with the Rapid exit system in sizes ranging from a double – 6 to a double – 40 stall configuration.  The parlour can also grow with the herd.  Separate modules of 3,4 or 5 stalls can always be added at a later date.
