Notes: The two, 260-ft calf barns have the Norbco High Plains curtains with the Slider System, six, roof exhaust fans, and four, tube ventilation fans per barn. They have the standard High Plains curtain system on the four, 1,100-ft. open front heifer barns. This facility also has two, Houle stem pumps for pumping liquid additives into their mixer wagon for heifer feed.
The Dykstra Calf & Heifer Ranch was built so that the Dykstra Family could raise all of their own replacements for their existing dairy (Dykstra Dairy has approximately 3,100 milking cows).
